Just a quick update on the start-up of the Kiwanis Aktion Club Sonrisa.

This afternoon there was a meeting including LTG Bob, FKs Prakash, Ruben, Ilonka, President Jan and a group of members of the Aktion Club to be chartered. During this meeting the following Aktion Club members were chosen to form the first Daily Board:

• President: Ana Maria Tabares
• Vice President: Maghalia Steenen
• Secretary: Desha Mohamed
• Treasurer: Osmaira Boekhoudt

FK Ilonka and FK Ruben will be guiding the Aktion Club during the first year(s) and functioning as the liaisons between our club and the Aktion Club.

On Saturday morning, January 9, 2010, an officers training will be organized for the Aktion Club Board Members.

Aktion Club meetings are scheduled for each 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 5:30 - 7:00pm.

Official charter date of the Aktion Club is scheduled for February 19th in presence of Governor Gary Levine.
